La Clusaz is today one of the most convivial village-resorts of Haute-Savoie. It has managed to keep its cachet by preserving the beauty of its chalets more than a hundred years old and the Savoyard style in the heart of the village. Indeed, this charming village of the Aravis has become in the space of a hundred years one of the most popular ski resorts of the people of Annecy, about 30 minutes from Lake Annecy. It owes its name to its particular geographical situation: a cluse, or gorge, squeezed between two mountains.
