Facing the Aravis massif, in the Fillière region, the quiet little rural commune of Groisy has belonged to the community of communes of Grand Annecy since 2017. Its privileged location, sunny on a hillside of the Bornes Massif, and its private 14th century château de Boisy, of which only one keep remains - it was the birth and growth of the mother of Saint François de Sales - are its main tourist attractions. Groisy is also a good starting point for walks and mountain biking in the surrounding area, and the many natural and tourist sites of the Glières plateau, the Château de Thorens-les-Glières, the medieval heart of La Roche-sur-Foron, Lake Annecy, the Aravis resorts, Geneva, Lake Geneva, etc. Do not miss to visit its Tuesday morning market where local producers go, as well as the exciting museum of Savoyard Pottery in Evires.
