Created by the mischievous musician André Manoukian in 2010, the Cosmojazz Festival is the new star of Chamonix summers. From the Houches to the Trient Valley (Swiss side) via Chamonix, at the foot of a glacier or rock face, in the middle of the mountain pastures, the festival sites are magnificent. Magically planted in the midst of a demanding natural environment, against a backdrop of spectacular landscapes, leading jazz artists perform on the most beautiful high altitude sites. Starting with an exceptional amphitheatre at the top of the Emosson dam, it continues in Vallorcine, Argentière, Chamonix or Les Houches, in the heart of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, in Les Grands Montets, Montenvers, but also in the centre of Chamonix. No matter what the scene, the freedom of sound and movement is total and you can hear it! High-altitude concerts during the day and from 7pm, the Apéro Jazz in the streets of the city centre. We extend the experience with Cosmo Jam' from 9pm in the bars and on the terraces of the city, until the early morning if necessary. But also, a Maison des Artistes with concerts and public recordings, all year round, as well as a springboard for young artists whose winner performs during the festival. A musical journey that reaches new heights!
