Spread over the two flanks of the Bluffy pass, on either side of the national road and along the Fier river, this small commune is in fact very large. At the foot of the Dents de Lanfon, near its capital and the Château d'Arenthon, it is in its fields that people come to pick the superb daffodils and delicate daffodils at the end of the very cold weather (usually in February). The site is increasingly popular for its superb views of the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, Lake Annecy and the Bauges in the distance. Its castle, a 14th century fortified house, has undergone a major architectural renovation thanks to the remarkable dynamism of Claudine and Jean-Marc Salomon and their very beautiful project for a Contemporary Art Foundation (closed in 2014). Alex's castle originally belonged to the Lords of the Keys, then to the Arenthon family, and it was the last owner (Yvette Château, a lover of modern art) who agreed to entrust Alex's heritage to these enthusiasts, collectors of contemporary art, who were able to guarantee the durability and preservation of the site. In the church square, there is a 17th century cross. Dominating the entrance to the Dingy parade is the village "Château Folliet", a 12th century fortified house with some moulded windows, doors with adjoining lintels and a semi-circular tower, now private.
