Near Montélimar, this commune was home to the future Louis XI, as evidenced by the many monuments and remains that dot its landscape. These include the church of Saint-Lambert, dating from 1100 and accessible via magnificent footpaths, from which there is a magnificent view over the valley and surrounding mountains; the remains of a fortified wall with a parapet walk, gate and towers; the fortified castle in the upper enclosure; and four fortified houses: Font Julianne, le Baltras, le Pavon, le Monard. Every last weekend in July, Sauzet, the garlic capital, hosts a large fair with producers and entertainment. And the garlic anthem is sung!
