Prehistoric cave at Thaïs, used by the Magdalenians as a resting place, refuge and hunting ground, for families to visit.
During an hour-long guided tour, you'll discover the origins of this 15,000-year-old cave with its spectacular concretions, how it was occupied by man during the Ice Age, and the techniques of flint knapping and fire lighting. Your guide also talks about BoneNo. 450, discovered in the Grotte de Thaïs and preserved in the Musée de Valence, the first form of annotation of the human species known to date. It is thought to be a form of calendar. Group ticket possible with the paddlewheel boat and petrifying fountain garden.
