This semi-perched village in the centre of the rich Valdaine plain is 13 km south-east of Montélimar. There are 5 local shops (bakery, bar-restaurant, hairdresser, grocery store, organic vegetable shop). Arriving from the north, one can see its massive rounded silhouette on a hill overlooking the wild course of the Roubion. It then appeared as a perched village, closed with fortified gates and dominated by an imposing castle, guardian of the Roubion passage. Passing under the Saint-Claude Gate or under the Point du Jour Gate pierced into the ramparts, visitors have direct access to the heart of the old town centre. All that remains for him to do is to venture into the small alleys in search of the round path and the square where a centuries-old mulberry tree stands. But you can also enter it from the village square by admiring an amazing fountain well known by cyclists. It is then necessary to go north, pass in front of the town hall before being able to detail on the right the facade of the castle, the oldest part of which includes huge mullioned windows from the 16th century. By pushing to the end of the square, we discover from the top of the ramparts, a wide panorama on the plain of Marsanne. The village of Saint Gervais is known by the residents of the plain for its swimming spot in Roubion. Recently, the town has been hosting a mini-golf course.
