In the extreme south of the department, on the border with the Vaucluse and at the foot of Mont Ventoux, this Provencal village opens the doors to the Baronnies. Its fortifications and its castle remind us that it was a stronghold between the Dauphiné and the Comtat Venaissin. In the 12th and 13th centuries, the Saint-André de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon abbey housed a priory and 3 churches. Since the sixties, the village has experienced a certain expansion. The gourmet glory of the region, the coco de Mollans, a white bean with a subtle taste, is delicious with lamb. To see: the fountain and the wash-house, the belfry, the keep of the castle, the church, the chapel and the old bridge.
