This commune of nearly 900 inhabitants is worth a visit for the remains of its feudal castle. The building was partly destroyed in 1574 when it was taken from the Huguenots by the Count of Suze. Diane de Poitiers, known as the "Lady of Baume", is said to have stayed there several times. The Sainte-Croix church, built at the time of the first crusades, with its four apses is reminiscent of the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Today only three of these apses remain, which gives the church a very special architecture. Beautiful columns with capitals. The Sainte-Croix church has been listed as a historical monument since 1908.
