Two landmarks distinguish Chabeuil: one medieval, the other contemporary. The medieval one is the magnificent 12th-century gateway to the old town, which leads us up the narrow streets to discover a view over the Drôme plain. The contemporary emblem is outside the town, an original and unusual landmark that refers to the comic strip, planted at the "rocket" traffic circle on the town bypass. It's a giant reconstruction of the red-and-white checkerboard rocket from Objectif lune and On a marché sur la lune. Incredible and magical! It has to be said that Chabeuil is home to an association of Tintin enthusiasts.
