In the 12thcentury , the Cistercian abbey of the Nuns of Notre-Dame-du-Bosquet was founded in this peaceful village, whose main source of income is wine-growing. For a time, the former abbey housed a textile factory, then the Cellier des Dauphins winery. In 2005, the wine trust sold the building to the commune, which transformed it into an auditorium. The Cellier des Dauphins then moved to the neighboring village of Tulette. Bouchet still has plenty to offer, however, with the region's treasures: black truffles and local wines. Attractions include the Romanesque church of Notre-Dame, the chapel of Saint-Sébastien and some beautiful old wash-houses.
