10 km from Buis-les-Baronnies, this perched village offers an exceptional view on a succession of mountains. Originally, Bénivay and Ollon were two distinct communes, one belonging to the Barons of Mévouillon and the other to the Montaubans. A ramp leads to the chapel of Saint Jean-Baptiste d'Ollon, part of the priory of Bénivay, which is distinguished by its rich mural decorations. Bénivay-Ollon is the starting point for two major hikes: the four passes and the Hauts de Saint Jean. Bénivay gives its name to a variety of high quality lime tree with large, fragrant flowers. You can bathe in the Eyguemarse.
