A rural commune in the Drôme des collines whose inhabitants are called Belsimiliens and Belsimiliennes. Beausemblant, whose very old human occupation is attested, bathed by ten or so streams, is home to a magnificent campsite, the Domaine de la Bonne étoile. It is located in an 8-hectare park with century-old trees, orchards, a swimming pool, a playground and activities for children. But what distinguishes it from the start is the imposing presence of its splendid 17th century castle with 12th century towers. A charming stopover in a town that keeps agriculture alive.
