Here's a small, green, undulating valley dotted with buildings combining adobe and rolled pebbles. In the Middle Ages, the lords of Albon were among the founders of the Dauphiné. Today, the town of Saint-Rambert-d'Albon is better known, having given its name to a major service area on the Autoroute du Soleil! As for Albon, it's one of the Drôme's botanical villages, dedicated to magical and symbolic plants, a beautiful village dominated by its medieval tower. You should also visit the priory at Manthes, the medieval village of Moras or, on a different note, the Lafuma factory outlet at Anneyron, which attracts shoppers from all over the region.
