A village of character in the mountains, on the D26, from where several hiking trails start. Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier developed along the La Bourges River, appreciated by fishermen upstream of its confluence with the Fontaulière. This municipality of a dozen hamlets reached its demographic peak in the 19th century thanks to the mill industry. Up to seven factories were then built along the Bourges river, bringing a certain complementarity to a peasantry dependent on the ingratitude of a rugged and poor soil. To get closer to the factories, the village has expanded along the river, to the detriment of the hamlets perched on the sides of the surrounding mountains. We can see the church dating from the 19th century, whose entrance door is remarkable, sculpted by a resident of the village who also made a Way of the Cross, as well as the Christ who is near the altar. On a hill overlooking the village, there is a statue of the Virgin Mary.
