The railway track, carved into the cliffside, offers an incomparable spectacle on the Gorge du Doux inaccessible otherwise than by train. Built in five years of construction (1886-1891), using pickaxes and black powder in the granite, this line is today the only one in the Ardèche department open to travellers!
