Perched on a hill overlooking the Rhone, this small village of Ozon, with more than 400 inhabitants, is hung on the side of the Ardecchois hill. In 2015, this municipality saw its population increase by 12.26% over 2010. Rising between 120 and 400 m above sea level, it offers a varied landscape and an ideal view on the panoramic parade of Saint-Vallier of 6 million years. Ozon houses a Romanesque chapel (xie century), an exceptional gazebo, built around 1000 by the monks of Saint-Chaffre. Ozon's history is also characterized by a dynamic agriculture that revolves around the culture of apricot Bergeron and a Saint-Joseph appellation wine whose co-operative cellar of Sarras vinifies the bulk of production. Ozon belongs to the intercommunal district "Les Deux Rives", whose municipalities are located on the economic axis Sarras-Saint-Vallier. The municipality alternates the rhodanian plain and slopes covered with holm oak, faucet and fig trees. Lower, orchards mark the landscape. The banks of the river offer interesting natural areas with a magnificent lad fed by two streams, where one can observe herons, cormorants, guzzpiers and beavers. It is a popular place of anglers and pleasant during the strong summer bats.
