A strange name (we could have organized the Aluna Festival there) that would come from the Romans. This small town where Marie Anne Delphine Callon, Claude François' great-grandmother, was born in 1845, is worth a visit because it contains many remains. In particular the very beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Romain-le-Désert dating from the 11th century and from which one has a superb view of the surrounding mountains, the temple, an ancient volcano, "Montreal", the castle of Maleval, from the 17th century, the bridge of Mars over the Lignon, the Roman road from Valence to Puy en Velay. Much more recent are the facilities of the astronomy club. The latter received many American and French astronauts and spacemen who had little way to go to find themselves on the planet... March. This village is located on the Ardèche side but has a gentle look at the neighbouring department: Haute-Loire. A few kilometres from Saint-Agrève, a neighbouring town, Mars benefits from a particularly generous nature at an altitude of 1,030 metres. Everything is in place to fully enjoy this paradise of fresh air.
