Mountain campsite in the middle of nature in a friendly and family atmosphere at Crestet.

This four-star mountain campsite, at the end of the world, far from the towns - and even the villages! - in the middle of nature, with greenery as far as the eye can see, chestnut trees and pine trees, overlooking the Doux river, which is a favourite with fishermen. A welcome in a friendly and family atmosphere. Facilities and services are up to the standard of the fourth star: games, entertainment, swimming pool, top-of-the-range rental of chalets and mobile homes. There is also the possibility of bed and breakfast. Finally, you should know that the restaurant serves Ardèche specialities.

We stayed a few days in July 2016. Rather disappointed with this location: poorly maintained mobile home: broken table, not much crockery (hard to find 5 drinks, any salad bowl, only 4 spoon for 5), not pillow or duvet for the bedding in the lounge. The pool is not suitable for children under 3 years: too much water in the paddling pool and falls likely in the great same bath with strict supervision. Furthermore access " direct" with the river is through a path not maintained and the quantity and the quality of the water do not allow you to swim. The only activity offered for children (mirrors) is € 2 and the service provider arrive at 8:45 instead of 8:00… meanwhile, the only cartoon project for children is normally suite of evening (starting at 8:30) is already half… In short, the site was to be well, a few years ago, but no investment and maintenance were made and the animations are reduced to nothing. Maximum two stars.

In addition, access is via a winding road in the mountains and a steep descent of 2 miles!
