It is the Ardèche at the end of the world that this country of the Béageoises and Béageois spreads over an area of 32.8 km2, at an altitude ranging from 960 to 1062 m! About ten kilometres north-east of the lake of Issarlès, you reach Le Béage by a small, winding and picturesque road, through a wild mountain, barely passing a few cows and sheep in the pastures. Le Béage, a perched village, faces both the Haute-Loire and the Ardèche. Isolated in winter, Le Béage, at the crossroads of high places of interest that are very popular during the tourist season - Issarlès lake, Gerbier-de-Jonc and Mount Mézenc -, comes alive in summer
