This is the Ardèche at the end of the world, the land of the Béageoises and Béageois, which covers an area of 32.8 km2 at altitudes ranging from 960 to 1,062 m! Just ten kilometers northeast of the Issarlès lake, you'll reach Le Béage on a picturesque, winding road through the wild mountains, barely passing a few cows and sheep in the pastures. Le Béage, a perched village, faces both the Haute-Loire and the Ardèche. Isolated in winter, Le Béage is at the crossroads of some of the world's most popular tourist destinations - Lac d'Issarlès, Gerbier-de-Jonc and Mont Mézenc - and comes alive in summer.
