On the borders of Haute-Loire and Lozère, Coucouron lies on the edge of a strombolian volcano called Laoune. This administrative center of the canton is at an interesting crossroads for tourists, with its varied panoramas. Without neglecting its agriculture, as evidenced by the presence of two dairies producing two famous cheeses, coucouron and goudoulet, this small town is now turning more and more to tourism, thanks to its lake and quality of life. Take time to wander through the narrow streets leading from the Place de la Mairie to the 12th-century church of Saint-Martin, renovated in 1854.
