The Colline hill is a real balcony on the Rhone, offering splendid views of the Alps and Jura. His story is rich, crossed by famous figures, such as Bishop Bonnaz, born in Challex in 1812, and became prince bishop of Temeswar in Hungary (now Timisoara, integrated into Romania), or Jean-Antoine Lépine, born in Challex in 1720, became a horloger of the king and whose invention revolutionized the clock by making it possible to manufacture flat watches. The village is mainly agricultural, like all the villages of the Gates country. The sloping slopes, producing a white wine from the chasselas, as well as the reds and rosé from gamay or Pinot Noir. A network of marked trails allows you to discover its beautiful landscapes, strong houses, fountains and vineyards.
