Apothecary's suggesting a fascinating guided tour to know all the secrets of these remedies and of the art of healing in the past.

The forerunner of the modern pharmacy was born in the medieval "Hôtels-Dieu". Medicines were made from medicinal plants grown in a vegetable garden or gathered in the wild. Mixed with all kinds of substances, they were used to make concoctions, ointments and other electuaries, which were kept in beautifully decorated earthenware pots. A fascinating guided tour reveals all the secrets of these remedies and the art of healing in the past.

Opening time and information on APOTHECARY'S HOTEL DIEU

Guided tour all year round on Saturdays at 2.30 pm. In summer, additional visit on Tuesday morning. Fun visit for children during the school holidays in zone A, on Wednesdays at 3pm (€3.50 for children, €4.50 for parents). Free for children up to 6 years old. Adult: 6 €. Child (from 6 to 12 years old): 2 €. Group (20 people): 4,20 € (2 € for children). Prices for recreational visits: 3 €/child and 4.50 €/adult accompanying adult. School guided tours: 3 €/student and free admission for accompanying persons.

trois salles pour decouvrir la medecine et la pharmacopee utilise beaucoup sont encore usite c'est beau de savoir que les plantes sont nos amies depuis tres tres logtemps

Visite guidée de trois salles exceptionnelles et parfaitement bien conservées : laboratoire, arrière-boutique et officine. La guide maîtrise parfaitement son sujet, n'hésite pas à sortir les objets de leurs étagères et les présenter dans le détail. C'est une belle découverte enrichissante.

A voir absolument... elle se situe à quelques centaines de mètres du monastère, et vaut vraiment le coup d'oeil pour l'histoire et la beauté du lieu... Je l'ai visité lors des journées du patrimoine, et la guide était très intéressante.
