A former homeland of canvas merchants, Marcenat is a beautiful village, high perched at 1 030 m above sea level. You can see beautiful houses built in the local style. In the Middle Ages, the city had its importance to the family of Aubijoux, who had established its recipients, its judge and bailiff. Its th century church, restored in the th century, has three naves and an arrow, adorned with juniper trees. Inside, the visitor can observe a beautiful th century stand and a wooden Piéta of the th century.
