The village is sheltered by the foothills. Its charming squares are a testimony to its long history: in the Rue des Amazones, you'll find the Commanderie, a former seigniorial mansion dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. Next to the former town hall is the captain's office, dating from the same period and featuring beautiful mullioned windows. The Saint-Joseph chapel has been converted into an exhibition hall and library. Don't miss Vaugines' charming main square, featuring the town hall built in 1845 and an imposing fountain. On the road to Cucuron stands the church of Saint-Barthélemy.
