The cloister of Vaison-la-Romaine cathedral, with large arcades resting on sturdy pillars.
North of the cathedral, built in the2nd half of the 12th century for the Canons Regular, this magnificent cloister features large arcades on sturdy pillars. The sculpted capitals, with their fine, varied decorations, are a sight to behold. Inside, enigmatic elements: a Byzantine face, engravings and a marble sarcophagus. The garden offers the best view of the side of the cathedral, its frieze and its Latin inscription, exhorting the canons to live in the way of God.

Le Cloître de la Cathédrale - 84110 Vaison-La-Romaine
A Vaison-La-Romaine, le Cloître de la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Nazareth représente un havre de sérénité. Il est magnifique avec ses grandes arcades, ses chapiteaux sculptés et son jardin bien entretenu. La frise en vers latins qui décore la Cathédrale est parfaitement visible. A mon sens, c'est une visite des plus agréables à faire lorsque l'on visite cette jolie ville.

Une bonne étape dans la visite de la ville
Lors de la visite de la cathédrale, il est intéressant de passer par le cloître. On y découvre de belles arcades et un beau point de vue sur la cathédrale.
