Puyméras is perched on a rocky outcrop to the north-east of Vaison. Take a tour of the remains of the castle destroyed by its inhabitants during the French Revolution, now privately owned (not open to the public), then the Romanesque church of Saint-Michel, which has been altered many times and has a facade with a very original bell tower with three bells. Join the Town Hall to reach the Grand Rue, passing by the belfry. From the old fortifications, there is still a gate called the Sabrun Gate where tradition places a massacre at the time of the Wars of Religion. Under the Barrys (rampart in Provençal), you can still see a defence tower.
