Oppède-le-Vieux is a tiny medieval village with a strong character! Its inhabitants have very often rebelled against the authority in place, be it popes, counts or dominant families. Modernity has taken over this magnificent place and as early as the 19th century, the inhabitants left the heights and settled on the plains. Hence this double nomination: Oppède and Oppède-le-Vieux. We mostly visit Oppède-le-Vieux because it's a real pleasure! The inhabitants of the new village are struggling to rebuild their houses. We don't hesitate to stop by, for lunch for example! We meet many show biz stars.
