The village is built at the foot of a boulder bearing the remains of a feudal castle badly damaged by the Wars of Religion. Its strategic position allowed it to control the Rhône and the valley road . In the centre, a crenellated doorway can be seen, stamped with the town's coat of arms, evoking the rough and warlike aspect of its medieval fortress. Don't miss the beautiful house of Suze and its beautiful Renaissance facade without forgetting the remains of the medieval ramparts which still remain as in the rue du Moulin. Also, three 12th century chapels: Notre-Dame-des-Plans, de la Madeleine and de Derboux .
