Heir to a know-how for 4 generations, Serge Clavel is the ambassador of berlingot and candied fruit in Carpentras. The fruits are true works of art that give a sumptuous opulence to the Table des Treize Desserts of Provencal Christmas. Serge has also developed the pastry section. His shop windows are real temptations, everything is made on the spot of course. We love the fabulous homemade fruit jellies made with seasonal products. In summer, the home-made ice creams are a delight for young and old, 40 flavors!

This brotherhood brings together some forty growers from the north and south of the Vaucluse region, who are committed to creating top-of-the-range cherry varieties. Their first creation was the Monts de Venasque in 1978, followed by the Chérise in 1997. Mont Venasque cherries have the particularity of being large in size. Every year, a festival is held in Venasque on the 1st Sunday in June, with tastings, a market featuring local produce and a parade.

It is one of the institutions of the city. And we come a long way to choose its traditional wand, large campaign bread, organic or semi-complete bread… Breakfast is not bad either because the house has several times received the ^first prize of the best growing Vaucluse. The truffle market of Carpentras (first producing region in France) is held under the porch and in the main courtyard of the Hôtel-Dieu every Friday morning from 8 am in winter. This intimate, silent market is imbued with a very special atmosphere. Transactions are made in a semblance of secrecy, it is a market for connoisseurs.

Located in Carpentras, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, Domaine de Marotte is a winery that has been producing quality organic wines since 1998. The vineyard covers 28 hectares, with vines dating back to 1902. Visitors can explore the estate on a self-guided tour and taste the wines on offer. Picnics can also be organized by prior arrangement. Wines can be purchased directly on site or ordered online. The estate also offers self-catering accommodation for those wishing to spend their vacations in the area. However, it is advisable to make an appointment in advance.

Domaine Aymard, located in Carpentras, is a family-run winery offering a wide range of Rhône Valley wines. Family-run for three generations, the estate is renowned for the quality of its wines. Visitors can discover the magnificent scenery of the region, between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, while tasting the wines produced on site. The domaine also offers a delivery service for those wishing to buy their wines and have them delivered to their homes.

Since its creation in 2016 by Alexandre de Zordi, a seasoned cyclist, this craft brewery has gone from strength to strength, producing 2,000 liters of beer a day. The beautiful suds are awarded medals every year, and come in blond, white and amber, with distinctive characteristics such as Tête de Chauve à la fraise de Carpentras and Géant de Provence, a 9° triple. The labels bear the altitudes of the Vaucluse peaks: 1912, 1575, 1450 and finally 1050 and 1850.

We're a stone's throw from the tourist office. The front says as much as the name of the sign! Inside, the shop windows are a showcase for the pastries, desserts and chocolates made daily. The fine pastries follow the seasons as do the macaroons which come in original flavours, apricot with rosemary, mango ylang ylang. Calissons, meringues and homemade chocolates are beautifully presented.
