The cultural centre of Carpentras does not lack originality. Following the legacy of Jean Bernard (1669) and Canon Nepton (1672), the city acquires a large bourgeois house to «lock, maintain and educate disadvantaged children». After being a girls'school until 1924, it now houses the cultural centre and the municipal music and dance school approved. It is also a place of theatre with theatre. An exhibition gallery is located in the beautiful vaulted room.
