The land was owned then, from the era of the first fortifications by the Count of Forcalquier. Louis XIV decided in 1650 to construct them in favour of Ponteves marquis. The castle and the town eventually became Gallifert property right up to the revolution. Each of his masters left his mark, from a fortification; you will pass through the grace of Renaissance.
