The cemetery was located here in Roman times, and was the gateway to the old 13th century enclosure, the end of warm alleys where ladies with "hospitable thighs" officiated during the garrison era. Since its renovation, it has been the active, pleasant and shady centre of a village nucleus in the town. You can sit down at one of the terraced bars or restaurants and enjoy the city's gentle way of life, without (too) suffering from the crowds.

La Place des Corps-Saints 84000 Avignon
La Place des Corps Saints est une place très animée de la ville d'Avignon. Les restaurants y sont nombreux. Il est même difficile de bien observer les deux beaux édifices religieux tellement les terrasses des restaurants se sont étalées sur cette place, ce qui est tout-de-même un peu dommage à mon goût. Il faut également slalomer entre les tables pour pouvoir admirer la jolie fontaine.

Place très sympathique avec de nombreux restaurants pour manger ou boire un verre le soir. Lieu très vivant, j'imagine surtout l' été avec les touristes. Un bel endroit pour profiter.

Place très agréable à Avignon à deux pas de la rue de la République. La bonne sélection de restaurants propose un coin terrasse sur la place centrale. Ont peut être gêné par les voitures qui passent à côté mais l'ambiance de cette place nous les fait vite oublier. Aussi bien pour manger pour que boire un verre.
