Solliès-Toucas owes its name to the Tocasso brothers, Italian immigrants in 1501 and considered as the founders of the village. Today, Solliès-Toucas offers to the walkers various oratories and fountains, as well as the beautiful church Saint-Christophe. Completed in 1701, it contains a magnificent altarpiece and a bell tower whose bell, dated 1759, is listed in the inventory of historical furniture. The visitor can also admire the hamlet of Valaury and its charming chapel built in 1668 on the occasion of the passage of Louis XIV, who went to Belgentier then to Cotignac. A (very) small producers' market animates the village all year round on Saturday mornings.
