House-museum of butterflies, exhibiting a collection of all the diurnal species of France in Saint-Tropez

This butterfly museum-house, installed in a private house in the former garden district, is the work of a painter, Dany Lartigue, who died in June 2017 at the age of 96. He was passionate about lepidoptera, which are pinned in landscapes that the artist had previously painted. All the diurnal species of France, as well as a collection of exotic butterflies, make up this collection. More than 35,000 specimens are gathered here.

Opening time and information on THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE - DANY LARTIGUE MUSEUM

Open from Saturday to Wednesday from 2 to 6 pm from May 19th to July 4th and from September 6th to November 7th and every day from July 5th to September 5th and from December 18th to January 2nd (closed on January 1st). Free for children under 12 years old. Adults: 2 €. Only the ground floor of the museum is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Shop.
