Numerous glassmakers had settled in the surrounding forests, as glassmaking was a major consumer of charcoal. Saint-Paul-en-Forêt is the starting point for many walks to the Méaulx and Rioutard lakes, the ruins of the Endre mill, the Trestaure olive grove and the Mediterranean forest with its many species of trees planted in the Esterel massif. Within the village, discover the Champ de Foire square, where the January fair was once held, the 18th century Saint-Paul church, the Saint-Joseph chapel and the cemetery, where the French film-maker and director Michel Auclair is buried.
