The village was marked by the Templars who founded the important commandery of Saint-Maurin on its territory and imported the principle of the windmill from one of their journeys to the Middle East. These two windmills from the 12th and 13th centuries were restored in 1995 and are, every year at the beginning of August, the stars of the traditional Windmill Festival. The first can grind grain again in the purest tradition, the second houses a small museum of agricultural tools. Built at an altitude of more than 500 metres on a rocky outcrop, the village has preserved the remains of its old defensive system and the remains of its ramparts.
