This village takes its name from the Camatulici, of Celtic origin. Gérard Philipe lived there and is buried in the small village cemetery. The alleys are full of flowers. The Place de l'Ormeau owes its name to an elm tree planted by Sully as a tribute to the conversion of Henri IV. It was replaced in 1983 by an olive tree. At the bottom of the village, the well-preserved Saracen gate. Every summer, Ramatuelle welcomes, in July, the classical music festival, in August the Ramatuelle theatre and variety festival and the Ramatuelle jazz festival, created by the village postman (Swing postman) and every Monday in July and August, the Escalet concerts take place in front of the sea.
