Ravaged in the 14th century by wars and the Black Death, abandoned and then repopulated from 1557 onwards, this charming old village, grouped around its church, is ideally situated in the heart of the Maures massif, 9 kilometres from Sainte-Maxime and 18 kilometres from Saint-Tropez. Its originality is characterized by the many hamlets spread throughout the territory, a kind of circus surrounded by hills: Reverdit, the Pierrons, Vallaury, the Plan, Revest, Gambades ... there are no less than twenty-five! Numerous festivals enliven this small wine-producing village throughout the year: the olive tree days and plant fair in April, the art in the street day in June, the festival in the vineyards in July and August, the Saint Peter's day in July, the jazz festival "ô Plan" in August, the festival of the vine and wine in Roman times in September, the cooked wine festival. Many opportunities to come and discover this village and its traditions, its heritage and its know-how. It's good to live and stay in this typical village. Can you guess the name of the inhabitants of Plan-de-la-Tour? They are called Plantourians and Plantourianes! You have been warned.
