Clinging to the side of a rocky outcrop, the village of Pierrefeu is surrounded by vineyards that produce a famous AOC terroir wine. In the heart of the village, an imposing stone monument was erected in memory of the fifty missing airship Dixmude. It left the naval air base of Pierrefeu and was hit by lightning before crashing into the sea on December 21, 1923 off the coast of Sicily. A tragedy forever linked to the history of the village. The market of Pierrefeu is held every Saturday morning, place Gambetta. It is completed from May to September by an organic market every Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Harkis traffic circle.
