The first mention of Ollières appears in the Saint Victor cartulary under the name 'villa Ollarias'. This small village, huddled around a medieval castle, whose first building, on a rocky spur, dates back to 940, owes its reputation to the exploitation of clay. Nestled between wooded hills, it is characterized by its typical narrow, cobbled and steep streets, rue du Portail (old portal), rue du Four (old communal oven), rue Basse, rue du Cercle, place du Marronnier, place de l'Ormeau, place de l'Église, boulevard de l'Aire... Also worth seeing is the church of Sainte-Anne, a Romanesque building restored in the 19th century
