Few old stones to be discovered in this village, this is largely due to a dramatic episode in its history. Indeed, the village had to be sacrificed during the impoundment of the Lake St. Croix reservoir. The new, modern, airy, flowery village was rebuilt as a promontory on the lake. Today, it has become a pleasant destination for the practice of all water sports thanks to the lake's 2,200 hectares of water and the attraction of its beautiful turquoise water. In the heart of the Verdon nature park, the commune is ideally situated for exploring and discovering the surrounding nature via the network of hiking trails.
