Halfway between Draguignan and Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël, on the route of the old Nationale 7 (DN7), Le Muy is located near a 5,000-hectare forest irrigated by numerous rivers. The city has long lived on the exploitation of its natural resources, cork harvesting, wood cutting. The machines of the old industries used the energy provided by the hydraulic resources transported along the canals - the oldest was dug under the reign of François I. Every Sunday morning, the market in the heart of the village is one of the largest in the region. It is complemented by the smaller Thursday morning market.
