Grimaud is undoubtedly one of the oldest villages in the Maures. Perched on a hill, a convenient position to watch over, but a little withdrawn inland to be safe from the attacks perpetrated by the barbarians on the shore, the village has thus been able to go through troubled times and reach us in a perfect state of preservation, with its authentic alleys, its small secret squares, its fountains, its intact charm. Grimaud, which is composed of charming hamlets and neighborhoods, is alive all year round. There is a cultural life, with in particular Les Grimaldines, a unique festival, where every summer, every Tuesday, in the alleys of the village and at the castle, free shows and concerts follow one another until the heart of the night, for more than 15 years.Among the other highlights, it is impossible to miss the Eurofestival Harley Davidson, the flagship event of Grimaud and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, where each year, nearly 10,000 owners of these big chrome cylinders invade the peninsula. Concerts on the giant stage set up on the beach, chopper demonstrations, custom competitions, a Harley village, a bike show in the heart of the village of Grimaud, and of course, the traditional big Harley parade follow one another. But Grimaud is also the sea. By taking the coastal path (formerly known as the "sentier des Douaniers"), you will discover well hidden swimming spots, beaches where you can practice water sports, unique viewpoints, especially on Saint-Tropez, and also superb villas.
