Fox-Amphoux, a picturesque village perched at an altitude of 540 metres, which can be seen from afar, is formed by the union of two medieval sites, Castrum de Fossis and Castrum d'Anfossis. Today, there are still some remains of the ancient ramparts and the castle of Blacas, which attest to its ancient origins, houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, the house of Barras, a child of the village, a general, a politician and one of the figures of the French Revolution, the chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours, built in a cave, and the old micocoulier of the village, whose estimated date of birth is 1550, planted on the church square.
