A former fortified village, initially built on a rock, Comps has preserved many vestiges of the Templar period, notably the fortified chapel of Saint-André. A dive into the medieval past of the village is possible by walking the circuit of the chapels. It is the ideal starting point to visit the Verdon gorges. Not far from the village is also the lake of Sainte-Croix, a perfect place to cool off in the summer. In short, a place that combines heritage and nature, ideal for lovers of old stones and nature trips. Don't miss the large trompe l'oeil fresco depicting Fernandel.
