The village owes its name to the two castles in the commune. One is located at the top of the village, the other on the cliff overlooking the gorges of the Nartuby. The entrance to the valley was thus solidly locked. The remains of the old keep are visible on a platform overlooking the village. The church of Notre-Dame, built in 1550, has a pentagonal choir and a 17th century gilded wooden altarpiece. A short distance from the village, prehistoric caves offer great opportunities for exploration to potholers - grotte des chèvres and grotte de Mouret. Beautiful nature activities and rich heritage.
