LAUTARET BOTANICAL GARDEN - JOSEPH FOURIER ALPINE RESORT
The Alpine botanical garden of Du is one of the most beautiful in Europe. This landscaped garden, located at 2 100 m above sea level, stretches over more than two hectares in an enchanting setting, facing La Meije. You can discover a wide range of flowers from the Alps and other mountains in the world which, throughout the summer, bloom one after another. Created in 1899 by Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble, the garden has recently been celebrating its 100 years. He has been classified since 1989 "Botanical Garden of France and French-speaking Countries" and is accredited "Approved collection CCVS: Plants of the Alpine areas ", which places it among the most beautiful gardens in France. Exhibitions and animations on flora and geology, initiations in botany take place regularly.
