Dominated by its th century square tower, wrongly named "Tour sarrazine" the village is built in tiered fashion. Do not hesitate to take its narrow lanes. The municipality is part of the Ecrins National Park and extends from the Head of Vautisse to 3126 m to the ridges of the left bank of the Durance. It is made up of a dozen hamlets.
